Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
